In an effort to better serve customers in southeastern PA and to expand its markets into adjacent states, the DeGol family purchased a site in Wernersville, PA that provided easy access to major highways and a rail siding on the railroad mainline. (Mr DeGol purchased this site upon the recommendation of a friend and did not actually see the site until after purchase. It proved to be an invaluable addition to the company).
Dennis DeGol, our current chief operations officer, was the original force behind this location's growth. He aggressively addressed the concerns of his diverse customer base, provided special services to the ever growing Amish construction community, and soon was shipping product to customers in New Jersey and Northern Maryland.
Over the years, the location grew to the point that off-site warehousing became a necessity. To address this issue, the family purchased a 20 plus acre site in Newmanstown, PA. The former brick plant underwent extensive renovation and today offers over 300,000 sqft of storage facilities and a state-of-the-art railroad unloading platform.
Plans for the future include expansion of outside storage areas and continued upgrades / expansion of indoor storage.
