Always one to hunt for a business opportunity in less than vibrant times, the DeGol Family seized the opportunity to purchase a former Weyerhaeuser distribution site in Hartford, CT. This purchase established Seven D as a regional distributor, with accounts from Maine to Virginia.
Seven D, under the leadership of Denny DeGol and Brian Reiff, introduced the area to a revolutionary program that was based upon the company hallmark of large inventories and service that set a ew standard in the area. In short order, the location established itself as" the source" for roofing and other building materials in New England. Aggressive efforts allowed Hartford to attain the sole distribution of TREX decking in New England.
To increase its services to customers, Seven D of Hartford introduced a comprehensive line of product and services relative to engineered wood products. The growth of this sector required purchase of a separate location in Suffiled , CT.
In late 2009, Seven D Wholesale purchased a large site in Rocky Hill, CT and consolidated the Hartford and Suffield locations to increase efficiency and customer services.
