As Seven D Wholesale continued to expand its presence in the market place, they recognized that there was a growing need for services to the highly-specialized manufactured housing industry. As the largest concentration of these builders was in North central and Northeast PA and Southesatern NY, the DeGol Family recognized the need to establish a local facility that could meet the quick responses required by these plants.
The family entered into an agreement with a local rail company to lease acreage and buildings and established the Scranton office. Under the leadership of Dennis DeGol and Richard Frusciante, the company engaged in providing a product line and quality of service that would prove most beneficial in building solid relationships with the manufactured housing industry.
As the company grew and became more prevalent in these markets, local retail lumber yards began to rely on Scranton as their building materials supplier. The combination of these two markets allowed Scranton to outgrow their railroad property, and it soon was acquiring off-site warehouse facilities to meet their customers needs.
